Toni Jalovaara started writing about cars in early 80s at the same time of his MBA studies in the Helsinki School of Economics. Besides writing to most of important Finnish newspapers and car magazines, Jalovaara's pictures and stories have been published also in Czech Republic, Estonia, Ireland and Sweden.
His interests and experience covers almost everything on the roads. Especially in the beginning of his career Jalovaara wrote regularly about trucks and motorcycles. He finds also classic cars fascinating and has been three times at Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. To really test cars characteristics instead of own driving skills Jalovaara advanced his talents through taking part to races and rallies.
Jalovaara organized many years The Tannistest in Danmark for Car of the Year organization. After that in 2014 he grounded Car of the Year in Finland, which is chosen by members of Car and Motoring Journalists Association. He has also served as a chairman of that organization.
He is based in Helsinki but has found his home also in Slovenia and Thailand.
