The World Car Awards jurors put forward nominations for the World Car Person of the Year based on the nominees significant positive contributions to the global automotive industry during the previous calendar year.

The World Car Awards' Steering Committee selects the final three contenders, and the World Car Awards’ jury then vote, by secret ballot, on their choice for the World Car Person of the Year. As with all awards, the vote results are verified by KPMG.

The three World Car Person of the Year candidates will be announced in February 2027.
