Liwei Zhang joined Car and Driver China in 2017 and currently serves as Editorial Director. He is also the founder of Anxiety Free, a media platform focused on new energy vehicles, and Chebaizhi, an automotive culture media platform.
With over a decade of experience in automotive journalism, Zhang has held key positions at leading media organizations, including ELLEMEN (Hearst China) and Modern Weekly (Modern Media Group). His expertise spans vehicle evaluation, consumer mobility, and automotive lifestyle trends.
A passionate self-driving traveler, Zhang has driven across five continents and more than 50 countries. He is particularly interested in overland expeditions and aims to become a global automotive adventurer, exploring the world through the lens of self-driving travel.
