 GINNY BUCKLEY | Founder of Electrifying.com, broadcaster BBC and ITV Ginny has been at the heart of broadcasting, journalism and transport for 25 years and is the Founder and CEO of Electrifying.com. The female fronted brand was launched in April 2020 after Ginny assembled a team of electric vehicle experts to help clear the air for consumers. The site is now the leading outlet covering electric and hybrid cars in the UK having enjoyed rapid growth, particularly amongst female car buyers, as Britain’s curious but often baffled consumers seek jargon-free advice about the switch to electric cars. One of the first female motoring editors of a British national newspaper and former Sky News anchor, Ginny also regularly reports on transport and consumer related issues for the ITV1 Current Affairs programme ‘Tonight' and contributes to numerous television and radio outlets across the UK. Ginny regularly speaks at global automotive events and works at UK Government level, having recently produced the ‘Beginners’ Guide to Going Electric’ in association with the Department for Transport. Her areas of expertise include the automotive industry, electric vehicles and infrastructure, along with autonomy and global trends. Her other credits include ITV’s ‘Granada Men and Motors’, where she produced and presented motoring programmes for many years. She lives in Oxfordshire with her son and for the past fifteen years has sat on the Board of Trustees for the Manchester United Foundation, where she works to engage and empower young people, with a particular focus on STEM and sport.    | |
