GIRISH KARKERA		Editor-in-Chief - carandbike.com Girish Karkera, 48, is a resident of Mumbai, India. He currently leads the editorial mandate of www.carandbike.com - one of the oldest automotive titles of India. He started his journalism career with the Indian Express, one of India's leading daily newspaper before switching to automotive journalism in 1999 with Autocar India. He later joined the Indian edition of BBC TopGear as Assistant Editor in 2006 and was elevated to Editor in 2009. In 2019 he turned consultant, contributing to various publications such as GQ India and a full time contributor to Times Auto - a weekly supplement of the Times of India - since 2020. Apart from reviewing and writing about cars, Girish is also an avid leisure traveller and frequently can be found riding with friends on weekends, much to the dismay of his wife.
