His career path was cemented from leading positions in the Australian media landscape, like motoring editor on The Daily Telegraph and editor of both 4X4 Australia and Motor magazines. He moved to Italy in 2006, writing for Australian publications like Carsales.com.au, but his work is also found prominently in Forbes and Engine + Powertrain Technology International. He lives on Lake Como, Italy.
