September 2023
- Official launch of the 20th awards season: The Road to World Car 2024.
- The Road to World Car 2024 is an annual journey that follows 100+ of our international jurors as they test-drive, and vote on, the eligible vehicles for the 2024 awards season.
September 2023 to January 2024
- Jurors test-drive the 2024 eligible vehicles.
November 12 - 15, 2023
- 9th L.A. Test Drives in Pasadena, California that coincides with press day at the L.A. auto show – Thursday, November 16, 2023.
December 1, 2023
- Deadline: final list of eligible vehicles is confirmed. No changes to the list after December 1st.
January 22, 2024
- Deadline: first vote round
January 31, 2024: World Car Finals powered by Brembo - The Countdown Begins
- KPMG announces top ten finalists in WCOTY; and top five finalists in World Luxury, World Performance Car, World Urban Car, the new World Electric Vehicle of the Year as well as the World Car Design of the Year.
- Second round of test-drives and voting begins.
February 12, 2024
- Deadline: jurors' second and final round of voting.
February 20, 2024
- Winner - 2024 PERSON of the Year announced.
February 26, 2024: World Car Finals - Top Three in the World
- Top Three in the World finalists announced at the Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS).
Wednesday, March 27, 2024: The Winners
- All World Car award winners announced at the New York International Auto Show
